This weekend was one of the busiest and most fun I have had in quite a while! I am going to share in more detail about my Saturday in this coming Wednesday’s post, but today I wanted to share a few snapshots I took from yesterday.
Since Saturday was spent mostly as a girl’s day with my mom, Sunday was dedicated to spending time with Tim. We enjoyed a relaxing outdoor brunch at Scrambler Marie’s to kick our day off on the right note. He ordered an omelet with home fries and I had my usual ‘American in Training’, which came with egg whites, turkey sausage, fruit and thick-sliced wheat toast. I also had a cup of the coffee-of-the-day, which was blueberry muffin. It was pretty tasty with just a splash of half-and-half to smooth it out a bit.
After brunch we headed straight to the grocery to check it off our weekend to-do list. We then came back home to put away groceries and let Teb out before we headed back out for more fun. I have been eyeballing a Lilly Pulitzer planner since I spotted them while shopping on vacation in Myrtle Beach, and decided yesterday I couldn’t live without it any longer.
I finally bit the bullet and chose the pattern I loved the most.
Pretty right? I am ready to get organized now! I am especially loving the cute stickers that come with the agenda for marking special days. Call me a nerd, but there is not much that makes me happier than starting a fresh agenda! And in thanks to this pretty little planner I now have a fun fact to share: Lilly Pulitzer and I share a birthday, November 10th. Who knew!
I also purchased a couple pairs of pillow covers at Pottery Barn to freshen up our living room look a bit. I was so excited to find a good deal and I took full advantage of spending a buck or two, in order to save a buck or two… Funny how ‘sales’ work, isn’t it! I am happy with how it all turned out though, especially after I got the cases home and a pillow insert tucked snuggly inside.
I am a big fan of a neutral color pallet so I am really happy with how it all turned out! If you ask me, you can never have enough cozy throw pillows, but I think Tim thinks we are about at our limit. Ha!
After shopping we grabbed a quick bite to eat at Red Robin, and enjoyed a leisurely rest of the evening at home with the third musketeer, Tebow. Life just feels complete when I am home with both my boys!
