Amazing Grass Giveaway

Cheer up buttercup!  Today may be Monday, but I am about to make it a great start to the week!

Amazing Grass Chocolate

Many of you know I am obsessed with the company Amazing Grass and the products it has to offer.  As someone who has battled an immune deficiency disorder ever since having two bouts with mono in college, Amazing Grass has been the only product I have found that boosts my immune system, gives me energy, and keeps me staying healthy and active.

I have touched on my past health issues here and I have mentioned that before Amazing Grass I required 12+ hours a day of sleep just to make it to my college classes.  Exercise was literally non-existent because if I pushed myself even slightly I was more susceptible to getting other sicknesses such as sinus infections, the flu, strep throat, as well as testing positive for mono once again…  (All of the above happened to me within a year period.  That was one of the hardest and most testing times of my life, but thankfully I am much better today!)

Amazing Grass Green Superfood Chocolate

I hate to put too much emphasis on a product for ‘healing’ me, but I have no problem singing the praises of Amazing Grass.  The extra vitamins and nutrients really helped give me the energy I needed to be able to get out of bed and live, while protecting me from illnesses that continue to lurk around each corner.  Sure, there are times even today when my mono symptoms flare up, my temperature spikes, my glands feel swollen, and I am exhausted.  This is when I know I need to take a break, get some extra sleep, and double up on Amazing Grass doses to help beat the sickness.  And 9 times out of 10, it works!

(The above picture are the samples Amazing Grass sent me!  Pretty nice right?!)

Since so many illnesses are going around right now and we are in the midst of winter, I thought this would be a perfect time to do a little giveaway.  Amazing Grass has kindly offered to give away  two 8.5 oz flavors of Green SuperFood (similar to this) to two of my readers!  That’s right, two of you will be feeling healthy and energized all the way through this terrible flu season!  As much as I love Amazing Grass, I know the products are super expensive so winning this giveaway would be an awesome investment that won’t come out of your own pocket!

To enter, simply leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite way to stay healthy during the cold and flu season!

My method for staying healthy during cold and flu season is to take a zinc supplement whenever I feel a sore throat coming on. As far as I know, zinc is one of the only minerals that’s been proven to reduce the incidence of colds in a randomized controlled trial. I’d really love to give this product a try for it’s overall health benefits!

I am only recently starting to get into supplementation and nourishing my body well and it would be awesome to give amazing grass a try! thre are so many supplements out there and I don’t know which to choose! 62. Lauren S says:

Being in college right now, I couldn’t agree more with the struggle it is to stay healthy on campus. I have been sick on and off during the last 2 years or so, but many things have helped me get on the healthy track once again. During the winter months, I try and stay healthy by washing my hands, carrying hand sanitizer, and rarely touching door knobs. I also LOVE drinking hot tea and alternating between T25 workout videos and Yoga/Barre classes at the RPAC. Vitamin D and multi-vites are also taken on a regular basis. Those few lifestyle changes have really helped me stay healthier and happier, and hopefully will continue to help me during these cold months! 🙂

  70. At 55 years old, my mono is 40 years ago; however, I still have symptoms EVERY FLIPPIN YEAR! The medical community calls it Epstein-Barr and it is said to be another herpes related virus. Every February I get incredibly ill and my MD tests for mono markers. Last year I tested positive for 8. I’m trying to figure out which Amazing Grass product is going to offer me the biggest benefit. Any advice?

    • HappyWifeHealthyLife says:

Hi Kary, wow I am seriously blown away by your comment! I understand what you are going through, mono can really put certain people in a pattern of sickness. I agree – I think for some, mono never fully leaves the body and that is what I think I have and what sounds like you have as well. Just like clockwork, I was diagnosed again with mono symptoms almost exactly one year from the original. So strange! I would definitely give Amazing Grass products a try! I suggest the chocolate green superfood, which is my favorite http://amazinggrass.com/product/25/Chocolate-Green-SuperFood-30-servings.html , I simply mix one scoop with about 4 oz water, shake and drink. Start with one serving a day to see how you feel, but I actually used two servings a day for months and that really seemed to do the trick. Now I just take a serving when I feel like a sickness is coming… I hope this helps! Best of luck and let me know if you give it a try!

  71. Nicole says:

I drink plenty of water, juice and make smoothies plus nice warm tea after little walk in the snow.

I’ve been interested in amazing grass and would love to try the other flavors. I’ve tried the chocolate and it’s good, but I’m not sure on others.

    I liked the FB page.
